Luck of the Irish

I started my St. Patrick's Day cards today. I only made 10 to send out. I laughed at myself. I really didn't have much to work with. With the help of a retired set that had clovers in it, green paper and my computer I was able create this nice greeting. Inside the card is an Irish Blessing that I typed up and printed on the inside of the card before I cut the paper to size. I used the direct to paper technique on the card front and used my computer to type the greeting since after much looking I realized I did not have a St. Patrick's Day stamp. Ribbon, like glitter makes everything better!

SALE A BRATION

This is card I did for the Splitcoaststampers challenge Card Sketch Wednesday Challenge. I used the new SaleAbration Stamp set Friendship blooms. It really is a pretty springish card. The color combo is one of my favorites: Apricot, Celery and Regal Rose. I used the Paisy background too on the Regal Rose piece.

The End of Basketball Season

The St. Matt's league is over. I will miss it! I won't miss the 8AM games, I will miss the action. It was really fun to watch Jack's skills improve and the high pace of the game. I really enjoyed being able to help by running the clock and the buzzer. I wasn't always the best at it, but I did have fun and learn a lot! I am getting sportier by the season! This is a picture from one of the last games, Jack getting ready to throw the ball in. This was the game he scored his basket! Go Jack! I can't take credit for most of these pictures, Suzi and her snazzy camera snapped them.

Jack and Nick running neck and neck down the court!

Getting ready for the next play! GO Number 6!

This is what Dylan does while big brother is on the court. He is playing his DS with his buddy!

Maddie and her friend are dancing to their own tune on the sidelines! You can see Dylan and his DS in the background next to Dad.

Club Card

I have one out of three projects completed for next week's club sessions This is the first card. It is made with the Die-Cut Blooms, A Perfect Day Rub-ons and Hodge Podge Hardware from the Occasions Mini. It also showcases the Many Thoughts Stamp Set from the SaleAbration Promotion. I added the the Cropadile and the Striped Grosgrain from the Spring/Summer Idea Book.

I think it came out really cool and is out of my comfort zone for style. I had to go out of the box for this one and am really enjoying the results. It was fun to play with all the new accessories too!

Rub On and on and on....

This is a jar that contains the candy of the moment, Hershey's Nuggets. I bought the jar at the Christmas Tree Shop a while ago and applied the SaleAbration rub on's to it. It really makes it special! I made a coordinating tag with the rub-ons, and a piece of Hodge Podge Hardware from the new collection in the Occasions mini. I also added the stripped ribbon in Bashful Blue, Wasabi and Real Red for accent and flair! What do ya think? Pretty Cool Huh!

Down but not out....

Well I have been pretty absent as of late due to life, my sprained wrist and well just life. It seems like there isn't a time when one of us in the house isn't feeling well and I end up laying on the couch with who ever doesn't feel that well and my couch just sucks the zip right out me. Madeleine is the latest to be taken down with something. She is recovering today and I am trying to avoid the couch with her until later this afternoon.

I am back on my game so to speak and have a few offerings to share. This scrapbook page I finished up this week. I started it a few weeks ago but misplaced my build a brad kit and wanted to use it on this page because I really didn't have any coordinating accents. I made my own accents by using the build a brad kit and a small circle punch of the designer paper. I used the Hodgepodge Hardware Kit that matched the finish on the build a brad to tie it all together. The paper is Designer Paper by Wild Asparagus and the solid colors are Stampin' Up!'s River Rock and Blush Blossom. I can't take credit for the photos. I received permission to post them, they are professional ones that were taken in December 2006. They were taken at the Treasured Expressions Studios in Rotterdam. You can see more of their work at http://www.treasuredexpressions.8m.com/. Lisa and Scott really do an amazing job. I am hoping to get the whole family over there this Spring for an outdoor family portrait. I have many more of their awesome pictures of Madeleine that I will be using for scrapbook pages and showing off.

I made this great Nugget Box for a "Anything but a Card" swap. I got some great projects back which I will be posting soon.
