More Marvelous MJ

I have nothing finished to post but I do have these awesome cards that were done by MJ Farney so I am showing those off!

After I saw this card I tried to find my crystal effects, I was so disappointed I have no idea where the bottle went so I am ordering it today so I can finish cards I made that were inspired by these using the wild rose stamp set.

I love the color combo on this one!

I just love this card, the colors and the strips make me happy!

Last of the Afternoon Tea

This is a note card folder in a box that was made with the last bit of Afternoon Designer Paper that I left. I used the Embrace Life Stamp Set to add to the design and create the note cards that go inside.

This is the folder tucked inside the decorative box.

This is the folder outside the box.

This is the folder open with the card inside. There are two card in each pocket with envelopes.

Card Number One.

Card Number Two

Card Number Three

Card Number Four.

Happy Happy Birthday!

Pat a Cake, Pat a Cake, I am so not the Baker I want to be!

This is a Pink Almond Party Cake that I saw in a magazine and tried to recreate for my Mom and Madeleine's birthday celebration on Sunday. The mound of pink on top was supposed to be these very cool pink and white chocolate curls. As you can see I got shavings, but was very determined, so I just kept going to try to make the curls like in the picture not noticing until it was too late that I have a very large pile of shavings on top of the cake! Madeleine did declare the cake was delicious so that was all I needed in the way of a review! The inside of the cake was really, really pink. It was supposed to be a soft pink, but it wasn't until after I added the food coloring that I read the box, and I had picked up a box of special food coloring that doesn't dilute easily to give you color to the max. It was Hot Pink!

They sort of but not really look like the picture in the book, but can you really have too much chocolate!

Who doesn't love a Parade!

The Memorial Day Parade! The boys marched as part of the Cub Scouts! I love this tradition more than I can say! I think I am way more excited about it then they are!

I love this picture of Madeleine and Tori waving to the Firetruck! The Volunteer Fireman and Firewomen that march really get credit. They look great in their dress uniforms and march with such dignity in what was warm weather this year. These guys got to ride in the truck!

Proud to honor our Veterans this Memorial Day!

Oh How Thoughtful!

Look at my nice surprise! These arrived yesterday afternoon and have made me smile all day! My thoughtful friend Patty sent these to me, well actually her little dude, Emerson sent them to me to thank me for loaning him the use of a cradle my Grandmother had bought for Jackson. Emerson is ready for a crib now so he is all finished with the cradle.

It's really the little things that bring you joy!

Friday, It's Friday!

Doesn't this picture just make you laugh! It's my friend Suzi's son Vinny giving me the face when I tried to take his picture at the beach in April! It's a happy Friday Picture!

I am so happy it's Friday! I have had another week, but handled it much better then the past few! I actually enjoyed many moments of it. In a few ways I did drop the ball with the kiddos. Dylan was supposed to read in school on Wednesday and we forgot to pack his book, so now he went to the end of the line or he can read if someone is absent. I somehow forgot that my Jackson is a growing boy and bought him sneakers that were two sizes two small, he was crushed because he really got excited when I told him I got him a new pair. We are going to exchange them this weekend!

I had fun but played MISERABLE GOLF on Wednesday night. I hit balls with Mike yesterday and actually listened to a few of the tips he gave me. I think I am going to have to break down and get new clubs, my twelve year old Sports Authority Specials don't seem to be helping my golf game at all!

I got the braces tightened and they are tight tight tight man! I am a women who loves food and this is really cramping my style! It is an excuse to eat a lot of ice cream, but got to say I am looking forward to some grown up food tonight.

The high notes for the week are I went to Lee shopping with my friend Suzi, Madeleine is adorable at school, I got her invites out for her birthday party, The Scout Wars Skit is almost ready to perform on Tuesday night!, We are going to a Golf Social Tonight that sounds rally fun, I am going get to go to the Golf Clinic this morning to practice for tonight's social, Mike and I will be married 12 years this weekend, I got to go to Cafe Italia this week and a pampered chef party (different nights) and visit with my friends.....and yesterday Mike was home so I got to take a NAP, I just love a NAP!

I hope you all had a good week and are looking forward to a great weekend!

Fantastic Farney

My friend MJ Farney created these wonderful cards, she brought them to a club class on Tuesday night and I just had to share them. She has many more but I am posting them slowly just to give you something to look forward too.

What a great July Card! You might just see something very similar at an upcoming class!

This is the inside! How cute is this!

I just love the use of punches on this card and the color combo is so HAPPY!

Club Cards for May

Here are this month's Club Cards.....

Drumroll Please!

Faux Leather Technique

Just a great card!

How fun is this card using the Tart and Tangy set!

A Royal Decree

Madeleine's invites are finished! Belle has been assembled! It was touch and go there for a bit but I soldiered through!

This was the process, you have to cut out each part of her and glue it to the base. Thank the lord for my Xyron!

The final product. I used a marker to add the lips and the eyes. The machine cuts them but it was just to small to deal with! In the big scheme of things I think it works!

These are the final invites. I used Vellum Envelopes and ribbon to fancy them up even more for the ultimate Princess Invite! I really am glad they are done and came out a little awesome I must say!

I am back in action!

Hi all you! I love you who check out my blog, it makes me feel great that someone out there besides my Mom is interested in what's going on in my world! I have been out of the blogging action for a month! I can't believe it was a month!

I have been busy with life, baseball practice, doctor's appointments, cub scouts for both my first grader and fourth grader, ballet, bible study, my golf league and countless other craziness! The good news is I am back to blogging! I just wish I had more Stampin' Up! goodies to post! I am working on Maddie's birthday invites, which I know you can't wait to see! I did do a swap with the Sminks and I posted it and I did make Mother's Day cards but being me forgot to take a picture before I sent them all! I am going to borrow one back this week so I can post it! I hope you all have a rock star day!

I made swaps!

Here are my Swaps before I finished them. I cut out all the pieces first.

Here's my pile of swaps before I swapped them. I made 15 I think.

Here's the final swap with all the pieces that I cut out, the pretties kit, Designer Paper and ribbon. It was a fold swap so this card opens at the top and is held closed with the slit punch.

Spring Break

Here are some pictures from Surfside this April. I have sooooo many more and am hoping at some point to scrap them so you will be able to see more of the fun we had. The kids skateboarded, hung out, played video games, read books (under duress) and just had a laid back week at the beach. It was so great to be down there off season, we were able to take Coco, Suzi's dog down to the beach with us, she swam in the ocean, ran on the beach and had a great time too!

Mads in the water on Friday of Spring Break we finally had an 80 degree day and we made the most of it!
